Climate Neutral Now is an initiative launched in 2015 by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change to get everyone to take climate-related measures. Anthesis Lavola, committed to this goal, has signed on.

This initiative invites companies, organisations, governments and citizens to achieve climate neutrality by acquiring carbon credits in an amount equal to their GHG emissions generated during a specified period of time. In this way, the balance of emissions vs. absorptions is balanced and, therefore, it avoids increasing the concentration of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere.

In order to achieve this objective, the signatories of the initiative can carry out three actions: measure their greenhouse gas emissions, reduce them as much as possible and offset those that they cannot avoid by means of UN-certified emission reductions.

Calculating this year’s carbon footprint

In the document signed by Anthesis Lavola, the commitment to fight against climate change is shown, carrying out the necessary actions. At the end of the year, the CO2 Management team will calculate the carbon footprint and deliver the appendix of the accession document detailing the footprint, which categories are included, emission reduction targets and amounts offset with UN certification, among other matters.

Climate Neutral Now helps implement the Paris Agreement, and supports the Sustainable Development Goals by encouraging financial investments in climate-friendly projects that contribute to changing and improving the lives of communities.
