Roche develops a model to create added value for its stakeholders

The pharmaceutical company Roche wants to create long-term value for all its stakeholders through its powerful sustainable value creation model. The premise of this model is to create value by providing more moments that make a difference, through diagnostic solutions, treatments and medical devices, promoting access to benefit as many people as possible.

Roche is a pioneer in the area of ​​health. It has innovative products and services for early detection, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, while working on several fronts to improve the health and quality of life of people.

During the first half of 2019, Lavola Colombia had the opportunity to accompany Roche in the construction of its Integrated report for its operations in Colombia, corresponding to the 2018 period.

The Corporate Sustainability team supported the content generation for the report, working together with the Corporate Responsibility area and the Sustainability Champions of the different departments of the organisation.

These types of reports are constructed with information from different organisations, which is a challenge when it comes to the redacting due to the need to homogenise and reconcile all content. In the case of the Report for Roche Colombia, a standardised methodology for the collection of quantitative and qualitative information was used that allowed the content to be balanced according to a previously defined structure.

Similarly, an exercise in strengthening its sustainability strategy was carried out by developing a materiality analysis. To carry it out, different strategic sources of information of the company, its stakeholders and the pharmaceutical sector were taken into account to define the issues of importance in the management of the organisation.

Finally, in a co-creation effort with the Communication team, a communication piece with infographic language was designed that Roche Colombia used to disseminate the results of its 2018 management among its stakeholders.
